There's still some bugs out there, it seems to work ok on my machine. Sometimes you do have to restart.
- Fixed a bug where the game screen resolution would scale linearly instead of logarithmically
- Fixed an issue where the saved game would soft lock after selling a unit that had recently consumed an item.
- Fixed an issue where consumed items were not spending their cost on reload
- Fixed an issue where units larger than 32 pixels high were not placed correctly in their slot.
- Some units now have different equipment carrying capacity. Starting class characters can equip a full loadout.
- Units without any equipment capacity can equip one item only.
^I’m still not sure if this is how equipment limits should work. I like the idea of different units being able to equip different types of items. But I didn’t want to disallow equipment on the majority of found units. If you want to give a rat an axe, you can (but only one).
In addition I am reworking weapons. Weapons (Rusty blade, Vetka’s claws, Kektrall’s dagger) will no longer have their own attacks. This means that all units are stuck with their base attacks (if they have any). These items will now just give stats, but also some effects.
- Rusty Blade now has “On Attack: %50 to inflict poison”. Similar effects for other changed weapon items.
- Black Cat ability cooldown increased from 2.7 -> 4.0
- Black Cat ability now targets a random enemy, instead of all enemies
- Cultist ability cooldown increased from 2.7 -> 4.0
- Added Bloody Axe to tier 1: Scales with strength and has %20 lifesteal
- Added Magic Staff to tier 2: Creates magic missiles. Number of missiles and damage per missile both scale with Int.
- Added Kobold to tier 2: Throws ranged darts that target the enemy team’s backline. Has a %50 to poison.
- Giant Toad now summons a random tier 1 unit on death, instead of a fairy.
- Fairy can now be bought on its own in tier 2. Has a magic missile ranged attack.
- Added Orlaa The Wretched to tier 3: Summons a random unit every 4 seconds
- Chili, Green Onion, and Blueberry price reduced to 1 gold
- Tiazz now has %20 lifesteal and can wield 2 weapons.
- If there is no player ghost to fight against, you will be matched against a wild encounter that is scaled to the current battle round instead.
- Many server calls should be more robust with better error handling and reporting.
